As we come to the end of another year, it’s natural to take stock of our lives and ask whether we’ve had a successful year. But how do we measure success? The Apostle Paul gives us a rubric for doing so in 1 Thessalonians.
Big Idea: Be convinced, the love of God will never let us go!

Big Idea: The believer in Christ is adopted and assured by the Spirit that he is a beloved child of God!
Big Idea: The believer in Christ is indebted to God and enabled by His Spirit to put to death fleshly deeds.
Big Idea: The believer in Christ is sustained by the Spirit through sin and death!
Big Idea: Those who are in Christ Jesus have been set free from every obligation to the flesh and are no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit.
Big Idea: God took care of our sin and became our substitute so that we might live for our Savior.
Big Idea: Recall your condemnation in Adam so that you might taste the sweetness of your freedom in Christ!
Big Idea: Your brief life is meaningful and enjoyable only if it’s lived in God and for God.
Big Idea: The grace of God, if accepted in faith, leads to an intimate and God-exalting prayer.
Big Idea: The grace that David received from YHWH in the OT and the grace we receive from God through Jesus Christ is based on God's loving nature and not on our doing.
Big Idea: The deeper we understand our need for Grace, the greater our boasting in the Lord.
Big Idea: Faith in Christ, not familiarity with Him, allows you to experience His kingdom blessing!
Big Idea: God’s judgment is delayed, but it is certain; therefore, warn and point sinners to Christ who stands ready to forgive and justify!
