Online Giving Platform Change

3 Min Read

Dear GraceHill family and friends,

As we announced last Sunday, we are switching our online giving platforms. Over the past 2 years, many of you took advantage of the flexibility that Subsplash Giving offered, contributing to our ministry either through one-time or recurring donations. In 2020 especially, when we couldn’t gather in person, you continued to support GraceHill so that we could remain faithful to our mission of making much of Jesus Christ. As things stand today, roughly 60% of our giving is online.

To better steward every dollar contributed to our ministry, we found another vendor we think would help us accomplish this goal. As of this week, we’re beginning to use RebelGive as our new online giving platform. The benefits to the church are many, and we are very excited about it. First, we are going to save around $3,000 in annual fees. Second, Subsplash (old platform) charged 2.6% on top of any amount you donated to the church, paid either by you or the church. RebelGive, on the other hand, has negotiated the lowest market rates (1.9%), and together with your help, makes sure all the convenience costs of online giving are completely covered. This way, 100% of your intended gift always goes directly to GraceHill Church. In addition, if you give directly from your bank account (see below), absolutely no fees or charges will be added.

Action to take

  1. If you were giving one-time gifts through Subsplash Giving, simply stop using Subsplash and start using the church’s preferred online giving platform by going to gracehillonline.org/give and following the instructions on the page.
  2. If you’re a Recurring Giver on Subsplash, either weekly or monthly, see the section below to cancel your Subscription recurring gift and set up a new recurring donation with RebelGive.

Recurring Giver Transition

Cancel your Subsplash recurring gift:

  1. Go to the Subsplash website.
  2. Enter your email and password for your online giving account.
  3. Click the “Log In” button.
  4. Click the “Picture” profile in the top right corner.
  5. Click the “Recurring gifts” button.
  6. Select the recurring gift.
  7. Scroll down and click on “delete gift” and confirm the delete message.
  8. Sign out

Setting Up a New Account at RebelGive

Go to gracehillonline.org/give:

  1. Scroll down and click on the “give now” button.
  2. Simply begin by entering the amount of your recurring gift.
  3. Select the fund to which you want to contribute. Regular giving should go to the “General” fund.
  4. Select how often you want to give.
  5. Select when you want to give.
  6. Select the method of giving and enter the requested info (If credit/debit card, you will be accessed a 1.9% processing fee on top of your giving amount. If you choose “Bank Account,” no fees/charges will be accessed.)
  7. Click on “Give Now” to submit your gift.

You can create your account when you give for the first time. You will be prompted to enter your email and a password. Once you do this, your account is created, and you can go into your account any time using the same email and password. In your account, you will be able to access all your giving records and transactions. You may edit your information at any time.

A Tax Receipt will be automatically generated and sent to your email when your offering is made. You will also receive a final tax receipt for the full-year donation.

Also, note that if you select and set a re-occurring offering (i.e. once a week, twice a week, monthly, etc.), the information is saved in your account, and the withdrawals from your card or bank account will be automatic.

Thank you, GraceHill family, for being generous with your resources. As we continue to grow in discipleship, let us remember the lesson the Apostle Paul had taught the Corinthian church - our generosity is always proportional to our understanding of God’s grace to us in Christ (2 Cor 8:7-9).

Finally, considering the various difficulties some of you may be encountering during our present economic situation in California, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Life Group leader or one of the pastors if you need any assistance, including financial. The church stands ready to serve your needs.

In Christ,
