A Church Where Christ Comes First

“So that He might be first in every realm" (Col 1:18). This is the theme of Colossians - The Preeminence and the Excellence of Christ over all things! Every realm - you personally, your family, your church! Christ desires to be in first place. He must be first. If God rescued you from darkness and you’re in Christ’s kingdom - then the King comes first! He’s the most important, more glorious, more precious.  But here’s the question:When you look at and analyze the church, how could you tell whether or not this church is concerned about Christ? Are there tell-tale signs of a church where Christ is the True Head - not just in position but in practice?

Theme:A Church where Christ comes first is where the Peace of Christ rules the church, the Word of Christ permeates the church, and the Name of Christ dominates the church.

1. The Peace of Christ Rules the Church - vs. 15
2. The Word of Christ Permeates the Church - vs. 16
