GraceHill Kids: 2021-22 Ministry Update

2 Min Read

Greetings, brothers and sisters!

I want to thank everyone who served in the Sunday School ministry last year; it was a tremendous encouragement for the church. I am sure that as you served, you were blessed in the process. Special thanks to Dan and Albina Taran for their amazing service as directors of children’s Sunday School.

I also want to encourage the whole church to take turns and participate in this ministry at least a few times this year.

Now, after a short break, we are resuming our ministry to our beloved children. Here is some important information:

First day of class: September 12th. If you haven’t already, please register your child(ren) who will be attending Sunday School, so our team could prepare accordingly. Also, don’t forget to sign in your child each Sunday before the service at the Sunday School table in the lobby.

Ages: Children 3-9 years old are welcome. Young children can be in the nursery during the service (room 103)

Time: 10:20 am – 11:30 am. Sunday School class will take place during our Sunday Morning Service. After worshiping with the congregation, at around 10:20 am, all kids attending Sunday School will be dismissed for an hour-long program. Your children will come back to the worship center during the closing song.

Assignments: Each child will take home a memory verse. That is the only homework that will be assigned. The children will memorize the verse in class, so please review it with your child a few times a week.

**New Addition:** Children ages 10-11 years old will now have a class available to them! They will meet on Thursdays (same as GY) under the leadership of Paul and Nastya Kucherenko. If you have a child in this age range, you are invited to Kucherenko’s residence on Saturday, September 11th at 3:00 pm to launch this exciting ministry. Both parents and kids are welcome! Parents: please register your 10-11 year olds who will be attending this class on Thursdays.

In the end, I want to remind you of our mission:

GraceHill Kids Mission: “To lead our children to Christ by exalting Christ before them.”

Our Hope: Psalm 22:30-31. Our hope is in the Lord. He has promised to help parents to bring their children to the Lord. This passage gives us strong confidence that these things will happen, “posterity will serve the Lord” (Ps. 22:30-31). God has a desire to save the next generation, and He will do so.

We are expecting the Lord’s blessings upon this important ministry.

With love,

Yan Kislitsa
